Tuesday, May 21: Field Day 9-11am for third, fourth and fifth. 1-3pm for PK, kindergarten, first, and second
Wednesday, May 22: 9:30- Fifth grade to Promenade Theater and Riverside Park. 10:30- Second and third graders walk to Goldie Park
Thursday, May 23- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. 9:00-Third Grade on Pioneer Field Trip, 11-12:45- Lunch on the Lawn, 12:45- Kickball game, 1:15/1:30 Dismissal

Student medication + supplies will be sent home with your child on the last day of school. If you would like to make other arrangements, please contact the school office before the last day. Unused medication that remains at school will be disposed of.

Due to the weather, there will be no Beyond the Bell after school today, Tuesday, April 16. If your child goes to Beyond the Bell after school you will need to pick them up by 3:15 for preschool and 3:30 for K-5 students.
Due to the weather and tornado watch, all district activities and events have been canceled this evening. This includes Beyond the Bell, practices and rehearsals, and night school. Thank you.

Good evening. Here is an update for what is going on at Riverside this week. On Monday and Tuesday, the third, fourth, and fifth grade students will be taking the Conditions for Learning Survey. Also on Tuesday, April 9, fourth and fifth grade Orchestra students will have their concert at West High School at 6:00. Please have your child there by 5:40. On Wednesday, April 10 there is no school for kindergarten students only as Riverside holds its kindergarten registration. Thank you.

Good evening! Tomorrow all third, fourth, and fifth grade students will be going to the Orpheum Theater for the Orchestra Link-up Concert. Students will sing and play their recorders along with the Sioux City Symphony. Students will leave at noon and return by 2:15. Thank you!
Tomorrow, Thursday, March 14, our kindergarten, first, and second grade students will have their music concert at 6pm in the gym at Riverside. Students should arrive at 5:45 for the concert. We look forward to seeing you! Thank you!
Good evening. Tonight our all school read begins! For the next 10 school nights, families will read two chapters from the book Fenway and Hattie. We hope you enjoy the book and the time with your children. This is also a reminder that tomorrow is Spring Picture Day! Thank you!
Good evening. The week ahead is a very busy week at Riverside. On Monday, parent/teacher conferences will be held from 8am to 8pm. There is no school on Monday due to conferences. On Tuesday, we will have conferences from 3:40pm to 6:20 pm.
Wednesday is Spring Picture Day. All students will have their pictures taken with composites being sent home for families to order.
On Thursday, March 14, our kindergarten, first, and second grade students will have their music concert at 6pm in the gym at Riverside. Students should arrive at 5:45 for the concert. We look forward to seeing you for all these activities this week. Thank you!
Hello, Riverside Families. Next week we will begin our All School Read. This year we will read the book Fenway and Hattie. Books will be sent home with the oldest or only student in a family at conferences on Monday, March 11 or at school on Tuesday, March 12. Reading will begin on March 12.
