Good afternoon, Riverside Families. This message is to notify you that today at 1:05, we practiced an evacuation drill. The state and the school district require this drill every two years. Students walked to our evacuation location parking lot and then returned to school by 1:40. Thank you!

The Sioux City Community Schools wants our students in school 95% of the time. This means missing 9 days or less each year. Our slogan at Riverside is "Less Than Nine and You will Shine". Students will be creating posters in art class with this slogan. Stay tuned for more information on the importance of attendance.

Hello, Riverside Families! The parking lot that is to the south of the school or the side of the building will be under construction for the next few weeks. I have asked staff to park in this parking lot. I ask that Riverside families park in the lot directly across from the school before and after school for drop-off and pick-up. This will keep our students safe and away from the construction area. Thank you for your help with this situation. Have a good evening.

Hello, Roadrunners! Did you know your students can eat for FREE at Riverside until July 28? Breakfast is served daily from 7:45-8:45. Lunch is served from 11:00-1:00. Students will enter the main doors and go to the lunchroom to sit and eat. Adults may purchase meals as well.
